2026 Mitsubishi Lineup Announces Exciting Changes for the Year Ahead

2026 Mitsubishi Lineup Announces Exciting Changes for the Year Ahead

Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled its 2026 model year lineup, bringing major updates to some of its most popular vehicles. Leading the way are the Outlander and Outlander PHEV, which receive significant upgrades in powertrain technology, design, and features. The Eclipse Cross and RVR also see thoughtful refinements aimed at meeting customer needs. These changes align with Mitsubishi’s Momentum 2030 plan, promising a new or updated model every year through the end of the decade.

2026 Outlander PHEV: More Range, More Comfort

The Outlander PHEV remains Canada’s top-selling all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid SUV, and for 2026, it gets even better. The mid-cycle refresh introduces a larger-capacity battery, giving you more all-electric driving range, perfect for reducing fuel stops and cutting emissions.

Inside, Mitsubishi focused on comfort and style with a redesigned interior that includes improved sound insulation, new materials, and heated and ventilated front seats. The refreshed centre console adds more storage and convenience with larger cupholders and a redesigned wireless charging spot. A 12.3-inch infotainment display and a Canadian-exclusive Dynamic Sound Yamaha audio system now come standard, making every drive feel premium.

On the outside, you’ll notice a fresh look with a new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, darker rear taillights, and new wheel designs. The popular NOIR trim is back too, adding bold styling touches.

2026 Outlander: New Powertrain for Better Performance

Following big updates in 2025, the 2026 Outlander introduces a brand-new powertrain. The traditional 2.5-litre engine is replaced with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a hybridized system. This upgrade improves performance and fuel efficiency while providing extra torque for a smooth and responsive drive. Electrified torque helps deliver better acceleration off the line, making city and highway driving more enjoyable. The NOIR trim also returns for Outlander, giving drivers a stylish option with unique design cues. Look for the 2026 Outlander to hit showrooms in late 2025.

Updates for Eclipse Cross and RVR

The Eclipse Cross gets practical improvements for 2026. The GT trim now swaps embedded navigation for remote engine start, offering greater everyday convenience. The NOIR edition gets a lower MSRP thanks to revised audio features and the removal of the sunroof, making it an even better value. Super All-Wheel Control remains standard across the lineup for confident handling in all conditions.

The RVR continues to deliver solid value in the subcompact SUV segment. While its powertrain remains the same, select trim and feature updates ensure it stays competitive. All-Wheel Control remains standard on all trims except the base ES FWD.
